Episode Summary
"Ivan the Incorrigible" / Season 2 Episode 22 Broadcast: April 18, 2006
Shirley Schmidt begins an affair with her ex-husband, Ivan Tiggs (Tom Selleck), believing that he has left his new wife, Missy (Meredith Patterson). Then Missy -- who is still with Ivan -- suspects her husband is cheating on her and asks for Schmidt's help. Meanwhile, Alan Shore agrees to be co-counsel on an attempted murder case with Jerry Espenson (Christian Clemenson), who has been in therapy since holding a cake knife to Schmidt's throat.
I hope they don't cancel this show. I think I saw that it's in an iffy position right now. I hope if they do go out, they go out swinging.

6. Has anyone noticed that BL |
|
Edited on Tue Apr-18-06 06:57 PM by SYNERCHOSIS
is getting a bit weaker. I am a new fan of the show (mainly because I never watch tv) but in the last few months I've noticed that the Allen character seems to be the flag bearer for liberal ideals yet he is now suffering from psychological disorders. Maybe it's just me but I think it has gotten weaker sense the show where the woman refused to pay taxes to support the war.
Also, once I started watching the show I decided to get "caught up" by renting season 1 dvd's from netflex, which to my understanding is a fairly blue company. BL is a big hit but they are NOT stocking the dvd even though it was released in 2004.
On the upside though, my wife toke an invitation only survey for ABC network shows, she made the comment that if the liberal influence on the show faded we would stop watching, which is the truth. Who knows what that is worth but I though it was just a little push to keep the best prime time show on TV fresh and worth watching.

8. Actually, the speech Shore made |
|
during the episode when the woman wrote the post-it on her taxes was one of the best liberal tirades ever.

but what about after that episode?
What I'm saying is that that speech and the whole idea of not paying for your country to kill in our name pissed off somebody and now BL is toast.

10. I guess we'll have to watch tonight |

I was disappointed when, for some inexplicable reason, Shore was giving that gibberish problem. That seemed very ironic for the outspoken liberal on the show....I share your concern.

13. Nope no bush bashing tonight |

I swear if they didn't show a preview for next week this would have been the last time I watched this show. The racial profiling case sounds promising but if they disappoint again I'm out!
