2. I never heard of "enemy" snipers before reading about

a US sniper picking off civilians - men, women and children - I think, in Falluhah. It sure made my blood boil to read his cocky, cold-blooded comments after his "kills".

Of course, we do the same with our gun camera footage. Interestingly, I've never seen gun camera footage in which we took as much care to harm the enemy and only the enemy.

4. Why would I want to watch our own troops being shot?

I oppose this war and have long before it began. I oppose the violence that is inherent in it. I oppose the killing of Iraqi citizens and I equally oppose the killing of US soldiers. Why would I want to watch something like this? Just to prove to myself it is "real"? I already know it is real.

I remember sometime late last year seeing a video of an Iraqi who was hiding his face and all that (it was translated) and saying how they will never give up and urging other people to stop the Bush administration and thanking those who have been trying all over the world. I also remember watching last year from Tom Brokaw on all he's seen in his journalism and he showed him in Iraq in the very beginning before violence got bad and everything. He went to a group of men anywhere from their mid twenties to mid thirties and he went to one guy and asked him what he thought about everything going on and the guy said: "I'd like to fight the Americans. Not the people but the government" and from that moment on I knew they would never stop fighting and things would only get worse.

11. I did too, when I was reminded and recognized

what it was about. I read the post and then clicked on the link, thinking to read an article about it.

But maybe it was a Freudian slip, and a perverse unconscious wish to see it, on my part. After turning it off quickly, I did then feel a gruesome fascination, but thought of the soldiers and even more about their families, and that that inclination wasn't inspired by something in the least bit healthy or productive in me. That's my take.

What a sad video. How many dead soldiers will be enough for Bush? 3,000? 10,000? 50,000? What will we have accomplished?

So far, it's looking like we have only made the middle east less stable, while sacrificing our young men and women to the gods of war. It's almost sadly cliche to say it now, but in addition to those who die in combat, thousands upon thousands of our soldiers have been mangled or die after they return from Iraq.

Lurking freepers -- do you get off on watching miltary snuff? Is that why you are such hardcore supporters of the Bush regime? Is death the only thing that gets you off since your wife won't even touch you?

Last night someone e-mailed my husband a link that had several funny videos on it. But it also had a horrible montage of people getting killed. I saw the first one or two (a man blowing himself up with a bomb and a man getting run over by a truck) and I had to turn away. Some really sick stuff.
