Too many think "Boss", "CEO", etc., instead of the ORIGINAL "to carry out (the laws, in this case)"!!!
Thus, the Repugs can blur this issue of powers!

Again, too much "let me talk about ME".

Also, his tack about "trading O'Connor for you" is TOTALLY STUPID! This is NOT what a hearing about any judge should be! He or she stands alone, or not at all!

80. I loved Teddy's speech, but he didn't frame his question in a way that
Alito couldn't weasel out of it.

He should have made it a yes or no, or to list the top three or four mutual funds he owns now, or what percentage of his investments Vanguard represented at the time.

99. 1500 cases, and Biden, Kennedy came up with 1 pro-corporation bias?
WHERE is the oversight?!! Why can't we have a litany of Alito's pro-corporate biases, because there are none? Alito is a man of the people, no pro-corporate, anti-consumer cases? We need more aggressive congressional "leaders", this country is full of wimps. Congressmen should be lobbying the Senate Judicary committee and it's just not happening. Alito is a shoe-in at this point.

100. Did Jeffrey Toobin give incorrect in formation about 10 minutes ago???
I thought I heard him say that "for instance, Samuel Alito was part of the majority in his decision in the case of the search of the ten-year old girl". This statement made at about 12:15 by a grinning Toobin in the context of implying that Dem. Senators know less about the cases that they're grilling Alito on, than Alito knows.

That of course is not true. Alito's dissenting opinion was in the minority.

108. Job discrimination examples Bidden gives, Race, Religion, BUT political...
beliefs were ignored...and this is why the corporations are hiring most of their highly paid staff!
If you want a job in corporate amerika today, we ALL KNOW you cannot say you are pro-union, anti-war and Hate BUSH CRIME FAMILY, or you will doom your prospects.
AND, WE ALL KNOW if you want to advance to top salaried positions in most corporate amerika departments today, you cannot be a liberal, outspoken anti-war activist...am I wrong?
Where's the POLITICAL ADVOCACY argument in these Senators' diatribes? THEY PROTECT THE ILLUSION.
