Edited on Thu Apr-20-06 08:04 PM by KoKo01
for HU? That's gotta be a first...and very, very rude. Did anyone else see any reports on this? Did they add a translator later on in the day for the "news clips" from the cables?

I turned it off before the end but all the other dignataries have had translators after every paragraph or two of their speeches.

2. I'm pretty sure Hu did not need a translator
I think I recall my wife saying that all the Chinese leaders can speak & understand English... however, they usually choose not to speak it in public occasions as Chinese can sometimes be sensitive about their accents, and they also don't want to say something wrong by mistake.

5. Which is why he grabbed his coat when he went to the
other stairs. Idiot could not talk to him because since *ss does not even know how to talk English, he sure would not know how to speak in Chinese.
