Freepers just as mystified by the strange PA nuclear plant events

I was really happy to see that the folks on FreeRepublic are just as troubled and mystified by the doings at the Beaver Valley Power Station. No MIHOP theories floating about, but some genuine concern over the reports. The Freeper thread has 52 responses.

State police arrived and the driver said he didn't know anything about the money or who gave it to him. Wow... that story never even worked with my Mom!

This is quite a scary story. Wonder if we'll hear what they were up to.

2. My first thought was

hush money being paid to someone for fudging reports or something along those lines. The possibility that someone was trying to purchase fissionable material had not occurred to me. I hope this is being looked at by the proper authorities.

4. I agree. I don't know what they would be buying for $500K.

You can't just walk out with fuel rods or any contaminated material. There is some regulation at power plants.
