2. You obviously have a pre-April 2006 mindset.
(Thanks for the reminder. I wonder which news channels have graphics ready for the Iranian strike.)

4. I wonder why Iran will have a bomb in only 7 days when...
John Negroponte says it could be years:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/uslatest/story/0,,-5768895,00.html
Negroponte said perspective is needed on Iran's nuclear program and noted that Tehran may not have a weapon for years - perhaps into the next decade.

5. It is my personal opinion they already have "The Bomb"
Edited on Thu Apr-20-06 08:53 PM by Poppyseedman
In 1940's it took the USA 4 years to develop from scratch a nuclear bomb. Iran has been working on it for 15 years now.

Let's not kid ourselves. Think about it for a moment.

Do you think it's in the bush administration best interest to disclose Iran has a bomb? a WMD?

Don't you think maybe most Americans would wonder why we are in Iraq instead of Iran?

6. They don't have the bomb yet...
They are such loud mouths they would have said something already.

9. But remember it was only recently that Iraq fell.
Iran would not announce it was "Bomb" ready if Saddam was still in power. It would only fuel his desire to move his program forward faster

After he was disposed, with 180,000 american troops on your border, I don't think Iran would be shooting their mouth off.

10. With various embargoes and non-proliferation treaties...
and such, Iran hasn't had the resources war-time US did. Specifically fluorine. With they're recent declaration of a fluorine source, it should be only a couple of years now.

If they already had the bomb, they'd have announce it. Probably after demonstrating it.

But they have announced the next best thing- large amounts of UF6. Essentially they'll have the bomb shortly.

7. Let's do some roleplaying.
You can be the president of Iran, the democratically elected leader who's sworn to protect his people and Iran's sovereignty.

And I'll be president Bush. The man who was either born that way, or did way too many drugs in the seventies.

Only I find Bush distasteful, so I'll be playing futuristic robot ED-209, as a substitute for Bush.

I'll start us off.

"DROP THE NUCLEAR WEAPONS!"
