2. ABC Is Promoting This Movie Coming To A Television Near You....
probably during the next sweeps week. Turn on ABC - they've been running previews. I caught it while watching Commander and Chief - which is another disaster.

Is there anyway we can talk the people that bring us West Wing to continue that show. It just gets better and better and we're down to the last three episodes. Too bad.

4. It's time
Sad as it is, and I bawled right through this week's episode, it's time for West Wing to go.

One of the nicest things about getting older is that you can see when something has run its course. It's a hard-won lesson - lots of years of living - but, ultimately, you are able to say a sweet goodbye and be thankful for what we all had.

The next thing will come to us, and wouldn't it be nice if it turned out to be real life IN OUR FUCKING FAVOR?

Ignore that Avian Flu bullshit, by the way.

5. Okay, thanks. I'm onto Steven Colbert'!
I won't watch it, just as I don't go to rape or Duke threads, and am getting weaned off of immigration threads.
You have to pick your battles, or your poison.
I keep thinking I'm an optimist, and think I am, but there are people on DU who turn my head around!
:hi:

Is it a thousand?

It's SARS bullshit, designed to alarm and divert.

More Fuckface bullshit.

7. It's total bullshit; were you aware that Rummy has
a major investment in the drug that 'cures' bird flu? MAkes me wonder who else has a finger in this big fat pie.

8. His Searle connection still alive?
Well, when Cocksucker Cheney collects millions in "deferred compensation" from Halliburton while he's Vice-President, why should I be surprised?

Bastards. Miserable, war criminal bastards.

11. I saw it too and thought it was absurd
I grew up on disaster films. The disaster films in the 70s were always far off science fiction. Now we're having a FICTIONAL FILM that has overtones of regionally specific DOCUMENTARY ("avian flu in america") meant to portray what scientists are saying might actually happen.

So what are we going to do? Say, "Honey! I just got diagnosed with Avian Flu! I hope I die like the girl who played "Cassandra" in "Fatal Contact." God, I hope I don't die like that one kid Jared did. That scene was gross.

I hope there is never an avian flu epidemic. I never want to see "Bird Flu Survivor: Inside Hospital Island" or a CNN special documentary "The Orphans of Bird Flu."

Sigh
