1. I hate Nader
He should have faded away a long time ago. He's nothing but an attention-hungry fuck with absolutely no focus. Now he's a consmer advocate again?

Fuck him. He's filth.

20. i love Nader... I dislike that Rev. Fred Phelps... but that is just me
I don't like Ollie North, Ray-gun (Although I do like Ron Reagan Jr.), or Condi Rice...

I really like to hear what Ralph Nader, David Cobb, and Bernie Saunders have to say. I really like hearing it.

4. Democrats should've paid attention to their base
If the Democrats didn't move so far to the right there wouldn't be any reason to pay attention to Nader.

11. Oh, so we're just gonna abandon progressive ideas because of Nader?
Edited on Thu Apr-20-06 11:35 PM by Selatius
Yeah, let's move away from the legacy that brought forth the first ever minimum wage, the first labor standards, the birth of social security. Let's move towards the right and away from FDR's New Deal or Johnson's "War On Poverty."

Let's toss out the fucking baby with the bath water. :sarcasm:

12. Agreed. Nader's support was a product of the DLC
There is no question about it. Democrats lost part of their constituency because some of them moved so far right, like lieberman. Nowadays they have spines and Nader is irrelevant

18. It is every bit as much lieberman's fault as Nader's.

The Nader haters like to ignore inconvenient facts.

7. It's not Ralph's fault,
that the Democrats failed to get what should have been a slam dunk election victory in 2000. Gore couldn't even take his own damned home state!

15. It IS Nader's fault. He saw that the MSM was in Dubya's pocket,
giving him an unfair advantage. Nader slipped in there and took full advantage. He's an idiot. He took a risk that we are all paying for now. I hold him equally responsible for the mess we're in right now.

5. welll, those comments were constructive
I still think that the populous knows when they are being ripped of and his debate with
Steven went well enough that drove in some core issues that made some people think.

21. Al Gore is not exactly Ben Nelson
(this is a general response to the thread) He has put forth alot of progressive ideas. He cares about the environment, was part of an administration that got gays in the military, and would not have allowed tax cuts for the rich. If the people that voted for Nader can't see that, then they just aren't paying attention.
