Everything about politics in American I learned in 2nd grade. |

Mr. Ben Siegel was my 2nd grade teacher. something he said to the class I will remember until the day I die, and it fits today.
"When rights need to be protected the most are the times when Americans are willing to give them up. The time when rights don't need to be protected, Americans will fight to save their rights."
Think of it now. . .people are giving up their liberty at a time when we need to fight to keep them. In the 1990s, people fought for their rights when there really wasn't a reason to fight so hard. Now, there's a reason and, up until recently, Americans became ostriches.

2. True. But they also never taught us |

that the CIA was meddling (to put it mildly) around the world --- in Southwest Asia, in Latin America (propping up or tearing down the Shah, Allende, the list goes on and on). We had to get past all the surface, red-white-and-blue, rah-rah stuff we were taught and find out about the bad stuff on our own.
