6. And that's not counting the satellite images. |
|
I remember their line of bull about not knowing how bad it was and yet they've got the technology and are using it, too, to identify people at street level. :grr:

8. Yup, you can see people beginning to gather at the SuperDome... |
|
...in that shot of the roof. I haven't even started looking at the central N.O. area pictures yet, but I bet you'll be able to see the people at the Convention Center and people on their roof tops.

9. Here's a shot that tells it all. On one side of the canal it's dry, but... |
|
...on the other side, where you can see the broken Levee, the neighborhood is flooding.
Plus, this shot which is of the south shore of Lake Ponchartrain, shows the sailboats that were close to the lake are wrecked, but the dozens of Yachts, that were further away from the lake, look almost intact.
Plus, I see a LOT of small boats that I bet were NOT used, but could have been used for rescue.
Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to make the image below into a link.
ngs.woc.noaa.gov/storms/katrina/24425580.jpg <<<copy this link into the adress line of a new window to see the image.
It's very large, but still a JPG, so it's not too bad.
