3. $110,000...That's doable. Really. Howard Dean should call
for a special fund-raiser if there isn't a DNC fund that can legally be used for that purpose.

5. Certainly this amount could be raised via the internet.
I'd love to see us come up with the money and call their bluff, but there may be a concern with setting a precedent.

It strikes me that they have a very good claim that the fees should be waived. Paying them could set a precedent for the future and raise the bar on when fees can be waived.

I have mixed feelings on this.

6. I'd say getting the goods on BushCo is worth the risk
Once a person is wrongly forced to pay you have grounds for a court case.

7. You may be right.
But this may be the reason Conyers hasn't (at least yet) tried to raise the fees. As far as I can see they have every right to have them waived. But it would be great to call their bluff and see what they do.
