Why are the feds are charging the falun Gong protester
with "Harassing a foreign official"?
It's apparently a serious charge punishable by up to 6 months in jail.

It would have been just as easy to silence her, as they did, and release her after the event with a warning to avoid such outbursts in the future. (Though it's her right to be heard, we all know how "secure" this admin makes it's appearances.)

Instead it seems that the organizers inside the White House are having a fit over being fooled into believing she was a Bushbot reporter and would show the pres in good light. Now in a show of petty revenge and embarrassment they're overreacting and demanding the maximum charge.

Maybe since the Chinese dictator isn't accustomed to such public dissent where he comes from, George Buxh is trying to make him feel more at home.

2. Because 'free speech' is just a couple of pretty words...
...that don't mean jack in America anymore.

Haven't you heard? Bush has suspended the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the entire body of laws passed by Congress, and every treaty ever signed and ratified for the duration of his neverending 'Global War on Terrah'.

Elections will be next on the list, just you watch. Something like, "We're living in a post-9/11 world, and now is not the time to change our Commander-in-Chief. His 2nd term will be extended for the duration of the emergency."

Article I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances

We are not a communist country, why are we acting like one...

7. Wow ...I didn't know that
I guess her beef was with the Chinese leader.
Maybe now she'll see a similarity between here and there and speak out some more.
When she gets out.
