DEADLIEST SHIRT IN THE WORLD (9/11 Survivor)

9/11 survivor's toxic clothing sparks cancer fear
By Stephen White
THIS deadly 9/11 shirt contains so much asbestos it is feared thousands of the disaster's survivors could be hit with cancer.

The garment worn by survivor Yehuda Kaploun, 39, has 93,000 times higher levels of asbestos than normal - 47 TIMES the safety limit.

It is also saturated with toxic zinc, mercury, antimony, barium, chromium, cobalt, copper, lead and molybdenum.

More than a million tonnes of dust containing chemicals and 400,000 tonnes of asbestos choked the skies after New York's World Trade Center was hit by two hijacked planes.

Now there are fears that Yehuda's shirt is grim evidence that rescuers and survivors could face lethal health problems in decades to come.

10. I thought that before the report (?) left Whitman's hands, the WH did some
of their imfamous editing. It was also the Bushit in Chief who made a speech saying it was safe to go back to work and live near Ground Zero.

There's way too much of it to be attributed to just natural causes or smoke detectors.

What is the quivalent dose in REM? I'm not sure what parts per million is in relation to radiation? I wonder what sort of Uranium?

5. Local piece on contaminants
Most residents in the area we told that they could "safely" return to their apartments and clean any debris themselves. One couple didn't trust the officials and hired private contractors to come in to test and clean up their apartment. Apart from all the toxic levels of contaminants found in the apartment, the film crew showed the results of the Luminol testing the contractors did. The apartment looked like there had been a bloody mass murder in that apartment. Would YOU want to live and clean up that yourself? The couple subsequently decided they simply could not live there anymore.

This has to be one of the biggest, and most dangerous, cover ups in our government's history.

Edited on Fri Apr-21-06 06:19 PM by BrklynLiberal
The lives and health of the people who worked and lived down near the WTC mattered to them about as much as the Iraqi civilians who were "collateral damage" during the invasion they had planned for so long. :grr:

GWB was really worried about the malls being closed, what's more important risk to the lives
of Americans or the profit margin. I'll get back to you on that one.

11. You're 100% right and frighteningly easy to prove intentional deception.
After all, who the hell was doing the tests- Halliburton?

They lied. They outright lied. And it's provable, easily.

You know, it's just a matter of time before some who got cancer from "safe" WTC exposure takes matters into their own hands.

18. Link to the EPA's Inspector General's Report that discusses how the WH
misled.... pre-meditated murder in my book...

http://www.thememoryhole.org/911/epa-response/

On 21 Aug 2003, the Environmental Protection Agency's Inspector General released a headline-generating report which showed that, at the insistence of the White House, the EPA misled the public about the health effects caused by the collapse of the Twin Towers on 9/11. Specifically, the agency reassured people that the air was safe when, in fact, it didn't have enough evidence to make that call.

Concerned that thousands of residents are doing nothing to fix up their flooded homes, the New Orleans City Council voted Thursday to set Aug. 29, Hurricane Katrina's first anniversary, as the deadline for people to clean, gut and board up their homes, or risk having the city seize and demolish them....(more @ link)

Are these homes safe for ordinary people and volunteers to go into or around? Are people provided with enough safety gear to make it safe? Anyone doing this PLEASE WATCH YOURSELF. The gvt lies. Protect yourself.

16. I've been sleeping on a moldy floor for months
I have no choice. :(

At least most of the smell is gone and most of the little flies have died off. I can't get rid of the big roaches because they just keep coming through all the holes in the ceiling and walls... and I am not so bad off in comparison to folks in the 9th Ward. :(

I recently read the article debunking "Katrina cough", saying that it is normal for people living and working around so much mold to have respiratory problems. Well, duh. Watch yourself, black mold is nasty shit, and regular mold is setting many people up for future problems.

28. Been there, done that
No medical help either, as there were only a dozen doctors in town at the time... none that I had access to.

I am better now, and hope that the adage is true: what doesn't kill will make me stronger.

There are no real solutions for many of us right now, especially since the U.S. government is not really helping.

Thanks for the kind words. I know where to turn, at least for friendly advice, if I start coughing up multi-colored stuff again (white, green, grey, yellow, orange, blood).

25. hope they're sugar free cough drops
I had to quit my cough drop habit when the dentist bill came... and roaches don't like bay leaves. I used to think burning a candle would get some of the mold out of the air, finally fixed the roof so I don't have that problem anymore.

I have a cousin down your way, she works at a hospital, she comes up here for R&R more and more frequently and I know she is a true transplant and loves the bayou. We are thinking of you all.

radiation sickness.

In 1945, at the time of the atomic bombing of Japan, Tatsuichiro Akizuki, M.D. was Director of the Department of Internal Medicine at St. Francis's Hospital in Nagasaki. Most patients in the hospital, located one mile from the center of the blast, survived the initial effects of the bomb, but soon after came down with symptoms of radiation sickness from the fallout that has been released.

Dr. Akizuki fed his staff and patients a strict diet of brown rice, miso and tamari soy soup, wakame, kombu and other seaweed, Hokkaido pumpkin, and sea salt and prohibited the consumption of sugar and sweets.

As a result, he saved everyone in his hospital, while many other survivors perished from radiation sickness.
Source: Tatsuichiro Akuziki, M.D. Nagasaki 1945, London Quarter books, 1981. (Brown rice, miso, Sea vegetables, Salt)

In 1968 Canadian researchers reported that sea vegetables contained a polysaccharide substance that selectively bound radioactive strontium and helped eliminate it from the body. In laboratory experiments, sodium alginate prepared from kelp, kombu, and other brown seaweeds off the Atlantic and pacific coasts was introduced along with strontium and calcium into rats. The reduction of radioactive particles in bone uptake, measured in the femur, reached as high as 80%, with little interference with calcium absorption.

The evaluation of biological activity of different marine algae is important because of their practical significance in preventing absorption of radioactive products of atomic fission as well as in their use as possible natural decontaminators.
