8. He tried to compare it to legally telling partners you have aids |
|
He says if the person is using protection, they shouldn't have to say... fucking idiot...two completely different things.

9. Likewise, of course a woman should inform the father |
|
that she's terminating a pregnancy. Key word being "should." In a loving relationship.
Unfortunately, not all sexual relationships are all that loving, and it's not for the State to dictate how lovers should handle this stuff.

12. I think I do. We entered into a legal union and part of that union |
|
was that we both agreed that we wanted children. I think I have the right to know if the sperm machine was shut off so that I could have the option of starting over with someone else who wants kids...or are you suggesting that I'm stuck with him?

3. Tell him if no abortion then no condoms or viagra or anti-std meds for men |
|
Oh yeah, he'll have to pay child support for each kid he spawns.

but if he's too dumb to get it, ask if a woman should have to tell her rapist if she becomes pregnant by the attack-or tell an abusive husband/boyfriend who might injure or kill her.

10. I made that point, he referred to it as an "Anecdotal argument" |
|
Some people are too fucking dumb...but then they have some kinda gene that makes them think they're smart.

14. Tell him to wait until he's in the middle of an anecdote |
|
before he passes judgement on their validity.
Actually, my husband read about a survey where it was found that people who were generally considered not very good at their jobs consistantly rated themselves as very good, while those who were, in fact, very good at their jobs tended to be more self-critical. I guess this is evidence of that stupid-thinks-their-smart-gene you referred to.

7. What if the father is a rapist? |
|
What if the father IS her father? Or Uncle? Or brother?
What if the father is a one-night stand who left a fake phone number?
What if the father is an abusive husband who would force her to do something against her will?
You're right. What a moron.

11. Men should legally have to pay |
|
for their offspring but does it mean that they "all" do?
Or if he was my main mode of transportation for 9 months .. we break up should I insist that he has to continue to provide me with transportation or drive me around town for 9 months until I get a car on my own?
Do I have the right to ask that of him? Because in a sense he's saying that a Woman ought to be forced to carry around his seed for 9 months if he chooses it.
I think most of the time in a good relationship the discussion happens. It's only in those dysfunctional ones where it doesn't. Like the Abuse, the control freak, etc
