Union Busting Cleveland Cinemas Settles Dispute with Labor
Submitted by Eugmc on Sat, 2007-05-12 11:40.

The long running feud between the projectionists, who were let go by for cost cutting reasons, and Cleveland Cinemas is finally over. Cleveland Cinemas has to shell out over 100k to the fired projectionists that belong to the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees.

The workers will no longer be employed by the company under the agreement, but at least they got something out of the deal. Cleveland Cinemas probably would have done a lot better for themselves if they would have settled the case years ago and gradually phased out the job. Instead, they choose to fight a losing battle and paid dearly in legal fees.
