Working America In Ohio Reports Enthusiasm Is High As Workers Turn Out The Vote

Working America is working Ohio to mobilize working people on election day. The group’s Ohio coordinator, Dan Heck, says across Ohio people are worried about the economy.

: “Everybody's talking about the economy. It's definitely the top issue. A lot of people are also concerned about getting decent health care coverage and they're really disturbed by McCain's plan to tax health care benefits and leave people on their own to try to fend for themselves against insurance companies."

Heck says Working America’s election effort in Ohio is vibrant, and the union effort combined with it makes it superior to the Republican ground game.

: “Both the scale of what we’re doing, but also the professional of what we’re doing. And how excited our members are to be out there doing the work and getting people to vote."
