Wal-Mart, GE don't want union to protect workers

Allowing workers to form a union without a formal vote is the best thing that could happen.

I'm retired now and know from experience that a union shop is much better than a non-union shop. You ask how? Simple, better pay and better benefits. Some think union dues are a bad thing, but I'll pay a few pennies for an extra dollar an hour in my paycheck any day.

There is a lot of garbage being put out by Wal-Mart and GE, to name two, that puts down unions. The only reason Wal-Mart and GE spread those things is because workers would be paid more with more ability to guide their own future under a union contract.

"Scare the workers out of having all they could" is the Wal-Mart way. It isn't the union looking over your shoulder you need to worry about when you sign a union card; you need to worry about the company.
