Labor Is Still Revving Its Political Engine In Georgia Senate Race (runoff election December 2nd)

By Doug Cunningham

With the candidates in a statistical dead heat in the polls, labor is working feverishly to win the Georgia U.S. Senate runoff election December 2nd. Still battling to get Democrats their 60-vote filibuster-proof U.S. Senate majority, Stewart Acuff is running the AFL-CIO’s election effort in Georgia.

: “Organized labor is running full-tilt. We intend to touch 325,000 union members and family members at least six times and in some cases as many as ten times.

Acuff says labor can win this based on economic issues.

: “We’re very confident workin’ families in Georgia are gonna put Jim Martin in the U.S. Senate. A regular guy, a standup guy, a guy just as easy to talk to as you or I, who knows and understands us and who cares about the challenges that working families face every day.”
