BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- A Binghamton union was one of thousands of investors allegedly swindled by Bernard Madoff. That's according to a recently released list by the agency representing the victim's claims.

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, or IBEW Local 325, based on Emma Street in Binghamton, lost an unknown amount in Madoff's alleged Ponzi scheme. IBEW spokesperson Jim Collins was in a trustees meeting and unavailable to comment Friday night.



The list claims both the union's annuity fund and joint trust fund were affected. The list of victims is more than 160 pages long and contains several famous and prominent figures and organizations.
