PA Universities, Coaches' Union Announce Tentative Labor Pact

06/29/2007 5:37 am

The union representing coaches at Pennsylvania's 14 state-owned universities has a tentative contract with the State System of Higher Education.

The contract affects 350 non-faculty coaches and provides for a one-time cash payment of $1,250 at the beginning of the coming school year. Annual raises begin in January and amount to nine percent over four years.

Talks continue for a new union contract for professors. The professors' current pact expires Saturday.
