WAYNE PARRY

The Associated Press

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - The union representing dealers at Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino is safe, for now.

Regional director Dorothy Moore-Duncan says the National Labor Relations Board will reject a petition submitted by at least 30 percent of employees who sought to dissolve the union there.

She says the petition, submitted last week, is being rejected because the casino's parent company, Trump Entertainment Resorts, is appealing a previous NRLB ruling that it must bargain with the union.

The company has never recognized the outcome of the March 2007 vote, claiming it was tainted by a pro-union rally just before balloting.

The United Auto Workers represents dealers at four Atlantic City casinos.
