Labor Ramps Up Lobbying On Healthcare Reform, National Call-In Day Wednesday

As the pace of Senate action quickens on health care reform more than a hundred AFL-CIO leaders from 27 states are coming to Capitol Hill this week to support health care reform. Thousands of letters are being delivered this week in support of reform that lowers costs, holds insurance companies accountable and includes a public option health insurance alternative.
The AFL-CIO says America’s working families want health care reform that requires employers to pay their fair share and does not workers’ health care benefits. The AFL-CIO mobilization for healthcare reform this week includes a National Call-In Day to congressional representatives on Wednesday, October 7th in support fo health care reform.
