If an accord isn't reached between SABMiller's soft drink division and striking workers by January 6 the company could see more than 3,000 workers from the company's brewing division also walking off the job. According to the union representing the workers who bottle Coca-Cola, an agreement has been reached with those workers to join the strike action on January 7 if negotiations fail. Workers are seeking a 9.5 percent raise and a 45-hour work week.
