Today in Labor History Jan 13 Constitutional amendment endbrutally overworking children in factories

The original Tompkins Square Riot (pictured above). As unemployed workers demonstrated in New York's Tompkins Square Park, a detachment of mounted police charged into the crowd, beating men, women and children with billy clubs. Declared Abram Duryee, the Commissioner of Police: "It was the most glorious sight I ever saw..." - 1874

And this: January 13, 1874 - The original Tompkins Square Riot took place. As unemployed workers demonstrated in New York's Tompkins Square Park, a detachment of mounted police charged into the crowd, beating men, women and children indiscriminately with billy clubs and leaving hundreds of casualties in their wake. Commented Abram Duryee, the commissioner of police, "It was the most glorious sight I ever saw . . ."

1. See, those idle children are now wasting their time with TV and "school" when they
could be working in the lead mines for $1 a day. This is why god hates America and Obama is a socialist.
