questions for Omaha Steve and other in-the know union members
Edited on Sun Jan-31-10 10:16 AM by w8liftinglady
I am preparing my rebuttal to my congressman's statements on the SOTU,and need hard facts about overseas outsourcing and comparing union and non-union jobs(especially steelworkers). These are taboo subjects in this swill of poverty that I call home, but someone has to tell it like it is.I have info on Barton, cornyn and Hutchison's labor voting records, but I am having trouble finding the above resources. Thanks in advance...

1. I Could Use This Too
My dad is very anti-Union. I recognize the historical value of Unions, but have trouble coming up with facts about why they are still necessary and relevant today

2. Give me a day or two

I'm very under the weather with a fever. Research isn't as easy posting. (Just don't let me forget)

4. A friend suggested these

The entire mail:

The first one is maybe not all quite on point, but may be relevant to what this person wants. It reviews BLS data on wages and provides analysis that I hope is clear and easy to understand.

The others also provide data that are potentially relevant to what really takes a pretty complex answer to get at all the moving pieces.
