Why I Gave Up On Corporate America
I have spent my entire life struggling to throw off the chains that society and its institutions would impose on us. I have paid a heavy price for this, at times finding myself thrown on the unemployed scrap heap, including currently...this time, for the past two years.

But I have utilized this time to go to school and learn medical transcription, with the plan to launch my own business. As I have worked 7 years in medical support fields, this is not a very large jump from what I was already doing...but the formula is much more agreeable to me.

The Corporate America Formula:

Company X sells widgets. They tell you, Consumer A, just how much you will pay for their widgets...and if you don't want to pay that...then no widgets for you.

Worker B wants to have a job, making widgets, for company X. Company X sets the price of it's product. worker B's only product is his labor. Worker B does not get to set the price of his product. company X tells Worker B what they will pay for his product, and, if he doesn't like it, then too bad.

Now, if Corporate America actually believed in an honest day's pay for an honest day's work, this would be an acceptable formula. However, Company X believes in paying as little as possible.

The average American's buying power has consistently gone down, even while worker productivity has reached all-time highs.

My Formula:
I set a fair and reasonable price to do work. I must set such a price, or clients will not wish me to do their work. however, I also decide how much work I want to do, when I want to do it...and how much I will get paid to do it...because I get to be the boss.

I DO believe in an honest day's pay for an honest day's work...and I believe in giving an honest day's work for that honest day's pay.

To that end, then, this is a much more agreeable arrangement to me. Corporate America had their chance, they decided it would be more fun to screw me over. I'm tired of being screwed...I'm setting myself up into a position where I'm no longer beholden to the unfair practices of Corporate America.

I have about 3 months left on my class, until I graduate with my certification. meanwhile, I am already laying the foundations for my business, so that I will be ready, upon graduation, to hit the ground running.

P.S. if there are any doctors, dentists, chiropractors, etc. reading this, and you would possibly be interested in my services...and empowering one person - please mail me privately. I should dearly love the chance to make this work.

1. As advantageous as Corporate America is through size and economic power, they still try to seek
further advantages through the various levels of government and its departments. The capitalism model was broken by the biggest capitalists themselves. It is now a struggle against the combined forces of business and government ---fascism.

3. I Most Definitely Will!!
In fact, if you have a bulge, and need a valve as an temporary outsource, let me know!

not to mention I could use a little real-world experience in actual medical transcription above and beyond what I'm getting from school!
