Workers are asking Massachusetts to gamble for jobs. Jesse Russell reports:

The State House in Boston Massachusetts became a lightning rod for workers demanding jobs on Wednesday. Union workers held a rally calling for support of a bill that would legalize two casinos in the state. The workers support the casino because they see it as an opportunity to create jobs in the state during an economic downturn that has been slow to turn around and create construction jobs. It has been three years since Governor Deval Patrick killed the previous attempt to license casinos. The number of workers gathered to express their support was estimated to be more than a thousand. The bill being introduced today would also allow for the addition of slot machines at the state’s four racetracks. Patrick has expressed opposition to the slots. Much of the opposition surrounding the bill is focused on the slot machines which would be installed at dog and horse tracks.
