New NLRB features

From an email:

I wanted you all to know that the NLRB has a couple of new features you might consider signing on to if you haven't already. One is our subscription email service. We're currently sending out press releases only but soon we'll add summaries of Board decisions and other features. We have a new press release policy where we are highlighting cases in the regions (settlements, complaints, injunctions) as well as notable Board actions (news of recess appointments, speeches by Board members laying out their views of labor law). We are aiming for 2-3 press releases a week. You can sign up at the top of our home page at www.nlrb.gov. We've also just set up an NLRB Facebook page. So far, we're just posting the press releases there, but we plan to do much more in the near future. This is all part of our effort to be more proactive in explaining what the Agency does and why it's important. As some of you know, I'm a long-time newspaper journalist who came to the Agency 6 months ago to lead their new Public Affairs effort (with a staff of 3).

Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have questions.

Thanks,
Nancy Cleeland
NLRB Director of Public Affairs
