Is union-busting a mortal sin? Yes, according to Catholic Scholars For Worker Justice. Joseph Fahey, a professor of religious studies at Manhattan College in New York City says union busting, breaking labor agreements and trying to rollback wages and benefits are “a grave violation of Catholic social doctrine on labor unions. The scholars say this violation constitutes material grounds for mortal sin because is stands in grave violation of both the letter and spirit of Catholic social doctrine.

1. Works for this pro-Union Democrat.
Recommended.

It's time organized religion of all stripes got out of people's pants and instead began helping them put bread on the table and medicine in the cabinet.

The shift in dialogue emphasis is long overdue.

2. Well that should really slow down the union busting
Or maybe the busters will merely ignore this like most of the other church tenets that they ignore.
But it is nice to see the Catholics pay a small homage to their doctrine of social justice. Been a long time.

3. Violations of Church social doctrine != sin
