The march for jobs and freedom—the Martin Luther King, Jr. "I Have A Dream" speech march—is held in Washington, D.C. with 250,000 participating - 1963

And this: August 28, 1963 - Martin Luther King, Jr., made his famous "I have a dream . . ." speech at the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. Organizers of the march included Bayard Rustin of the AFL-CIO and United Auto Workers President Walter Reuther.
