Last night about 15,000 unemployed workers from across the U.S. participated in a Working America Tele-Town Hall talking about the economy, jobs and the November election. It’s part of Working America’s Unemployed Voter Project, a grassroots effort to rally jobless workers around the issues of job creation and trade for the November election. With an official unemployment rate hovering near ten percent Working America’s Karen Nussbaum says her group is working to turn out unemployed workers at the polls and make sure they know the records of the candidates on issues like jobs creation, trade, extending unemployment benefits and preventing outsourcing of jobs.
