AFT President Randi Weingarten: One Nation March October 2nd Is For American Values

On October 2nd a hundred thousand or more people are expected for the One Nation March. Hundreds of unions, civil rights, faith environmental and progressive groups are uniting to keep the hope of change alive. AFT’s Randi Weingarten.

: “The core principles we support are American values – good jobs, justice for all and a quality public education for all.”

Weingarten says the divese groups combining for the One Nation March
Share a common bottom line about the American Dream.

: “The bottom line is, when push comes to shove, we want the same things for America. We want to work toward these ideals - not to have a fractured compilation of special interests – but as one nation. One nation that works to ensure that all kids get a great education, that all Americans have the jobs that they need and that there is justice for all.”
