1. In the UAW's case, major hurt.
Don't know about the others, but I bet they are just as corrupt.

3. Welcome to the Labor Forum

Could you expand on that a bit for clarification? We have NEVER had a flame war here. So speak up.

4. The UAW has been participting in the downfall

of the American auto worker for years. Shifting focus to getting foreign workers on the roll and turning its back on members here. All you have to do is look at the last two years' worth of tier-pay and layoff agreements signed and supported by the UAW to understand what I mean. There is a very good reason so many UAW members are turning (Finally) on the leadership.

It was obviously ramping up with the AAM strike a while ago when the striking members were sold out by the union and has continued ever since. It doesn't need to be a flame war since I'm in support of the workers. It's the UAW leadership that is worthless and corrupt.

I said I wouldn't comment on the other unions and I won't since I'd be talking out of my ear. But I've been watching the UAW here in Detroit for a long time, so I can speak on it at least.

8. Unions are democratic
If you don't like the leadership. vote them out. Don't just sit there and criticize them for givebacks--do something if you can do better. There wouldn't be anything to give back if unions had not fought for your rights to a 40 hour work week, overtime, vacation pay, sick pay, pensions, healthcare, etc. You think we're going to get a new middle class from non-unionized employers like Wal-Mart?

9. Stossel is just so full of himself. Could barely stomach watching it. Morris attempted to make
some great points but Stossel just couldn't stop running off at them mouth. The anti-unionist always seem to pull old Henry Ford out when the subject of union gains such as decent hours and pay come up.
