The AFL-CIO says its political program is getting some traction among union households, boosting the pro-Democrat vote. The labor federation has placed nearly 27 million election phone calls, knocked on 1.3 million doors, sent over 18 million pieces of direct mail and distributed 17.5 million flyers. AFL-CIO officers are traveling the country in get out the vote efforts right up until the election November 2nd.
