The UAW says members at General Dynamics have overwhelmingly approved a new contact covering 1500 workers and 3000 retirees. The union says the contract includes pay raises, pension improvements and adjustable work hours. The UAW says the contract also includes stronger job security language. The new contract covers workers at plants in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Ohio. General Dynamics builds military equipment including the Abrams battle tank and Stryker infantry vehicle.

The auto companies, in light of announcing the profits, aren't crying "poor" at the negotiation tables???

Rah, rah Labor.

Too bad I'd rather see 75% of the tank place shut down and have them taking our tax dollars and making windmills instead.

Think about it. For the money we're already spending, every windmill would add power to the grid and lower our electricity bills (and dependence on oil) that much more.
