Security Companies issued the following letter Friday to members of San Francisco Bay Area SEIU Local 24/7.
Dear Security Officers,
This letter will provide you with a status report regarding collective bargaining negotiations between several security companies, including ABM, AlliedBarton, Securitas USA, Universal Protection Services, and the SEIU Local 24/7.
First, following many late night negotiation meetings on consecutive days last week and this week, the parties have reached agreement on all non-economic subjects for a new labor contract. The companies have agreed to include new non-economic subjects in our new contract that we believe will benefit our security officers, including
– increasing the number of shop stewards,
– leaves of absences for personal reasons,
– direct deposit of paychecks,
– a procedure for the companies to fill vacant positions by having you inform us of your preferences in work location, schedules, and wage rates.
