OSHA investigating Braselton fatality

Saturday, February 16, 2008

Federal job safety officials are looking into the death of a construction worker who fell off a roof Thursday afternoon at a Braselton work site.

The man died at the construction site about 2 p.m. Thursday, Braselton Assistant Police Chief Lou Solis said. The victim's name has not been released.

"He was working on the roof putting decking on and he fell off and hit his head," Solis said.

The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration closed the work site Thursday and Friday, and is expected to interview witnesses on Tuesday, Solis said.
