Teamsters discuss Hillary
---

Found this discussion and it sums things up pretty well for me...a Teamster.

Dubious Affiliations

Mark Penn: Clinton's chief campaign strategist.
Mr. Penn is the chief executive of Burson-Marsteller, a PR firm whose work heavily involves union busting; their representation of Cintas is of particular note seeing as we're involved in that effort. In fact Hoffa himself said this of Mr. Penn "We have expressed our concerns to Sen. Clinton about Mark Penn and his firm's work for anti-union companies. We value Sen. Clinton's commitment to strengthen America's middle class. But as long as Mark Penn continues to profit from his company's involvement with anti-union companies, this issue will not go away." Marc Rich
The now-pardoned ex-fugitive is widely known for his role in dealing with Iran despite the sanctions. What's less known is that Rich was the force behind the Ravenswood assault on the Steelworkers and the ensuing battle. The Clintons' association with this anti-union piece of s*** - not to mention Rich's ex-wife's $70,000 donation to Hillary Clinton's campaign for U.S. Senate - is extremely dubious.

Robert Johnson
Founder of the Black Entertainment Television station, Mr. Johnson actively opposed the attempts to unionize his station by the IBEW, allegedly firing supporters, offering quid-pro-quo raises, and "laying off" union supporters after the election; he also reportedly said that " an act of disloyalty and that BET will never have a union" ( http://www.huffingtonpost.com/ari-berman/clintons-antiunion-alli_b_82267.html ). Mr. Johnson is the same dude who, while gearing up to introduce Mrs. Clinton at a rally, issued the controversial critique of Obama in which he pointed out Obama's youthful drug experimentation, something which Obama had admitted to and said was wrong.

And one more:

For what is worth....why I cannot vote for Hillary Clinton:

1. Her support for Bush's occupation of Iraq and continued funding
2. The Clintons had their chance to stem the tide of the Reagan/Goper attack on the middle class when they were in the White House in the 90's. They not only failed to do so, they went along for the ride helping the GOPers pass NAFTA, GATT, WTO, the tele-com bill, media consolidation, etc. To think that it would change any with Hillary is putting your head in the sand and engaging in wishful thinking
3. Hillary was on the board at Wal-Mart when they devised their anti-Union strategy and decided to market products that had been outsourced to slave, child and prison labor in order to further enrich the Waltons at the expense of Americans.
4. Her, and Harry Reid's failure to filibuster reichwing activist judges like Alito, Brown, Owen, and Roberts, and their cave in to Frist's threats.
5. Her association with the DLC free traders, and the DLC's (Rahm Emanuel and the Clintons) funding of a candidate to run against Kucinich in the primary, because Kucinich is an inconvenient thorn in the side of dems like the Clintons that have lost their way.
6. Hillary's flexibility with the TRUTH, the latest example being her victory speach last night in Ohio , where she claimed victories in Florida and Michigan after she pledged not to compete in those primaries.
7. Her endorsement of Joe LIEberman in the 2006 Connecticut primary.
8. Her close ties (economically and philisophically) to the health care industry that makes most of their profit by NOT providing health care.
9. Her failure to address GOPer election fraud, vote caging, and outright election thefts. This one boggles the mind.
10. Her sleaze ball husband, who would be a big part of her administration. He helped make the democratic party a center right party, and he only looks at all appealing because we can compare him to the utter dishonest and incompetent Bush administration. But next to Bill Clinton, Richard Nixon actually looks principled and heroic!
