FedEx Requests NLRB Ruling Review

http://www.aircargoworld.com/break_news/03192008a.htm

In a brief filed Tuesday in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, FedEx Home Delivery requested a review of a National Labor Relations Board determination that drivers at two Massachusetts terminals are employees and not contractors, as contended by FedEx.

The filing asks the court to consider FedEx Home Delivery drivers as entrepreneurs. The NLRB recently ordered FedEx to bargain with the Teamsters Local 25 in relation to drivers at two facilities who were deemed to be employees.
