1. Sort of. It was an informational picket.
Does that count?

It was my first trip to Vegas and my cousins made the hotel reservations at the Frontier. I was upset but didn't know what to do, we now stay at Bally's.

9. Same here. Culinary union strike. Diabetic friend had to stop and eat.
Ended up eating at the Frontier lunch buffet before my friend passed out. About all I can say for it is that the cooks had a definite mastery of the concept of black pepper.... :puke:

This was almost 20 years ago, and I'd never do it again.

7. once we went to see "The Boss"
Springsteen for those who may not know. The Teamsters were picketing in Green Bay, WI and I damn near wasn't going to cross. I talked to a line captain (Picket line captain) and after I explained that we paid much money and came many miles for this show and Packer training camp, and that I was, and am, a Union Steward, he said that it was cool, that Springsteen offered to cancel but faced breach of contract issues so he couldn't. But The Boss did acknowledge our brothers and sisters who were fighting the good fight outside during his show. The Boss actually sent a couple of people out after the show to rally the troops, so to speak. Pretty cool. Oh yeah, the year was about 1991 I think. And it was a helluva show.

8. Can't imagine the circumstances under which I'd do that.
I don't believe I've ever done so, and it's not something I'd do lightly, if at all.

10. Worked at GTE, 2 unions IBEW and CWA, CWA was on
strike 3months, I was IBEW we never crossed their picket line. When the strike was settled the company sent CWA flowers for their office, they gave us 3 days off without pay.

11. never have...never will !!
I've been in the IUE,SMWI,URW/USWA,UFCW....I was raised in a Union household....where crossing a picket line was an unforgivable sin.

12. Twice
First was a technicality. The ComAir pilots were striking and picketing at the airport. Their check in counter was next to Delta, the airline I was flying. Because of the set up and the craziness that generally accompanies the airline drop off area for ticketing/departing flights...

The second time was a grocery store. I crossed when I found out the people picketing were not Union members or volunteers, but paid to walk. I don't think I'd do that again regardless, but was pretty naive then.
