I have never seen such argumentative talking heads. David Gregory questions just about every thing, and just plain argues. Dean was firm and handled it well.

It was like a contest between ABC and NBC hosts as to who could most effectively talk him in to a corner.

None of them did. He did great interviews.

I think FL and MI leaders have punched him so much that now he is fighting back. Good for him.

1. Dean was excellent and didn't let David Gregory put any words in his mouth,
hard as he tried to.

2. David Gregory has a bad
case of Chris Matthewitis. All mouth and disengaged brain. What a jerk. He is trying to get Dean to say the super delegates should do what David Gregory and Chris matthews want. Defeat Hillary. Obama will not beat McCain so Obama is their guy. They are the ones with corporate ties.

6. Except when he's interviewing a Republican, of course.

He, like Matthews (and everybody else in the corporate media), personalizes politics to an unbearable extent. Policies aren't even discussed or mentioned (when they are, they're downplayed). With all of this content (24/7 cable news networks, for example) that is so well-funded, you'd think real issues would come up at some point, but they almost never do. Personalizing politics is just another way that the media communicate to the public that decision-making is not in the hands of the citizens. It's all about the Clinton soap opera, Obama's ability to "stay on message," and McCain's ability "to rally the 'conservative' base." What about the policies?

Gregory, Russert, Matthews, and the rest are all nothing but fucking tabloid reporters in ties.

5. The first time I have watched the Today Show since 2004
After Andrea Kramer and the Today 101 bullshit pieces it was great to see Howard on to correct them

4. One thing that has made Dean angry about what FL did..
He emphasize South Carolina and the party goals there on NPR...and he was angry that FL stepped on SC.

http://journals.democraticunderground.com/madfloridian/1888

"Dean said frankly it would split the Democratic party if rules were broken

"He says they have tried to negotiate with the FL and MI parties for a long time and basically been told they are not interested.

He said no private overtures were made, they just started public overtures.

He says the DNC had a plan for how to run the campaigns, everyone including FL and MI voted for it.

Said the problem with FL moving forward was it was incredibly disrespectful to those who followed the rules and kept their word, it also stepped on SC which was the DNC's way of including large numbers of African Americans in the process to select the nominee"

8. That is an excellent point MF
and thanks for the Dean clips, he's been great.

The point about respecting and including black Americans is an important one, and should be made clearer.
