This was interesting and illuminating. In order to get a paper trail, Democrats in the FL legislature apparently had to screw over Florida Democratic voters in the primaries.

Also, W-S handled Brit Hume's BS well.

1. So The Dems
Couldn't offer amendments to the bill they introduced?

2. And so...
why did a Democrat introduce the original bill that changed the primary date. I'd love to see that person interviewed.

6. As she is explaining it (and she may be misleading us)...
the bill was introduced as a much broader election package addressing a number of issues. The date change was hung on the bill during the process.

I always raise an eyebrow, however, when some pol starts lamenting about being a victim. The Dems joined forces with the GOP to pass that bill unanimously knowing full well what the impact would be.

4. And African American voters in South Carolina
I'm sure that was important to some of them. How depressing.

Thanks for the TPM posting, MF.

7. I'm glad to see you jump in here
I know you've been keeping a very close eye on this issue for months and was wondering if you can answer my question...why did a DEM introduce the Bill that changed the primary date in the first place? It never had to be part of the entire voting reform package that was passed. Thanks for all of the important work you've done to keep us informed on this issue.

9. Why? To be relevant. Here are two which explain best.
How it began last August....how Florida Democrats began their propaganda war

And this one.

From instigator to victim. It was a Dem who introduced the early primary bill in Florida.

It's very sad, and in the big picture, it will probably insure a win for Hillary. The DNC tried to intervene, but then the media started in on the side of the two states.

Media wins, hands down.

11. The shame of it is - - - Florida would have been very relevant on any date
this year. Heck, even Wyoming is relevant this year.

12. Florida would be voting tomorrow if they had not tried to be first.
Imagine the impact.
