we should not worry about "the white vote." To put it in those terms at all automatically makes it "the racist white vote." So I am with you there.

I'm a strong Obama supporter, but I think you/we have to realize where some of the Hillary support is coming from.

People have a lot of nostalgia for what they perceive as the "pre-George Bush" years. They don't understand that things have changed significantly and there's no safe haven in such misguided nostalgia. So in a way, it's the Bush Reign of Terror that drives some people to go with the tried and true, safe & acceptable, rather than (what they perceive is) the unknown.

Also a lot of women have been sucked into the Hillary camp, purely because of the serious setbacks for women that have occurred in recent years. They DO think their lives and their daughters' lives depend on Hillary being elected. People fighting for their lives is not irrational after the NeoCon hijacking of America. A lot of female Hillary supporters are voting with their hearts.

You need to understand that this message is something that Obama or any other male in the highest echelons of politics needs to pay attention to...just as you would pay attention to the loyalties of African-Americans for damn good reasons.
