2. Me too! It was his campaign that brought me to the Dem Party in 1992
Edited on Wed Mar-26-08 07:29 PM by housewolf
I worked on his campaign in Calif and had a political awakening that year. It ranks high up there as one of the greatest years of my life.

It was a revolutionary campaign in a lot of ways - the first campaign to refuse corporate & lobbyist contributions, $100 max contribution limits from individuals only, first campaign to use a 1-800 number for donations. Jerry drove around in a little mini-van. 1992 was before the "internets" as we know it today but we unofficially organized ourselves on an on-line email list.

I'm with you, I miss that campaign and I miss Jerry Brown - a lot! Thanks for posting that little reminder.

3. Yes thats right! I met him in Phoenix..
He was excited about my Greenpeace magazine that I was carrying. His campaign was great and he outlasted everyone. I wish I could find this nightline video of him confronting Bill Clinton. I thought Bill Clinton was going to jump out of his seat and pop him. His head turned purple, it was great!
