1. Two observations:
1. The sound cuts out several times. I don't know what Obama is really saying; it's tough to follow. Though the Reverend is coming through LOUD and clear.

2. It's a "gotcha!". We should leave them to the rabid among Team Obama.

5. is this stuff directly from Fox News?
Or did the maker of this video simply copy Bill O'Reilly's style?

I can't believe seeing this stuff in a Democratic forum, posted by someone who apparently accuses Barack Obama to "hate America" ...

Shame, shame, shame on you for posting this disgusting crap.

7. Obama's attempt was a clarification in an interview with Anderson Cooper..
Then the speech to the American people. Compare and contrast.

You talk about LIES? No one ever questioned the bald face Lies.

But yes, the MSM jumped right on Hillary for an event that happened 15 yrs ago. Researchers were out if force searching for video files of the day, witnesses and testimony.

Why does the focus have to be on throwing Hillary's left over dirt on Obama?

Respond to the point - she was caught lying.

Give us positive about her if you intend to move hearts and minds.

Trying to pull Barack into the mud just makes me dislike her more.

P.S.

If she's caught stealing, will you be searching for kid from grade school who swears Obama took his eraser?

12. You are joking, of course
It is not what Senator Clinton did 15 years ago that is controversial now. The issue is how Senator Clinton characterized it in recent weeks and how it doesn't jive with the facts at hand.

Note: how Sentor Clinton characterized it. This is about something she said, not her pastor.

11. Big freakin deal....
If we discounted every politician who has been associated with a crazy minister, then 80% of Americans would not longer be eligible for office. Just a couple of weekends ago, I went to church with the 'rents back home, and the preacher was spewing his best fire and brimstone. Does that mean I am responsible for the things he said? Religion is all a big joke... How bout we start focusing on facts and reality, and not this alternate jesus world.

13. Looking at that video
I realise why Obama had to distance himself away from that man. Very controversial.

His recent speech on race was very good. He said he there was no Black, Asian, White, etc America...but the United States of America.

14. What I'm still waiting for is a full fledged rebuttal of the statements that Wright made himself.
"And the United States of America government, when it came to treating her citizens of Indian descent fairly, she failed. She put them on reservations. When it came to treating her citizens of Japanese descent fairly, she failed. She put them in internment prison camps. When it came to treating her citizens of African descent fairly, America failed. She put them in chains, the government put them on slave quarters, put them on auction blocks, put them in cotton field, put them in inferior schools, put them in substandard housing, put them in scientific experiments, put them in the lowest paying jobs, put them outside the equal protection of the law, kept them out of their racist bastions of higher education and locked them into positions of hopelessness and helplessness."

Did none of this happen?

"We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye...and now we are indignant, because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought back into our own front yards. America's chickens are coming home to roost."

Did the United States not bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Does American policy in the Middle East not create conditions that produce terrorism?

Two issues I'll take with Wright's other comments are that the government created AIDS, that seems a little out to lunch, though I'm not exactly knowledgeable on the subject either way, and the fact that as a woman, I'm sure Hillary has experienced some hardships as a result of sexist policies in America. Wright HAS, however, spoken out against the poor treatment of white women in his sermons as well.

And for the record, I'm not saying this as an Obama supporter. I don't really think there would be a huge difference one way or the other when it comes to the Democratic nominee (but maybe I'm just jaded). I'm just wondering what it is that is so controversial about what Wright has said. Would it even be an issue if it wasn't for his "God damn America" comment? Is that what makes it all un-American? Like the "yelly" white preacher in the clip said, since when is dissent un-American?
