Because 90% of bowlers are right-handed, the right side of the lane is often marred, bruised, dented, and generally uneven. The left side is always closer to its original, smooth condition. We can't offer him that excuse.

since most people are righties when it comes to bowling, it means that the oil on the left side has not been moved around the lane and his ball should have more consistency and go where he wants it. It doesn't matter so much if you know nothing about bowling (which in his case it shows) but to serious bowlers it does make a difference.
