11. Obama swept Idaho 80%-17% with a record caucus turnout |
|
Montana is right next door, and with all due respect to the opposition, the train is right on schedule.

14. You should have been there. |

I was fortunate to volunteer at the Obama event in Missoula and it was an amazing experience. I have admired and liked Hillary for years, but this man is something special. I was an Edwards supporter and have watched and waited to make my choice of the remaining two candidates. I liked what I heard and Obama moved me more than Edwards ever did. I can understand the passionate support of his followers.
He is no empty suit. He is a genuine, articulate and humorous man who really can connect with people of all ages and all backgrounds. I was very impressed and believe he is by far the best to lead us out of this mess we are in as a country. There is substance there that cannot be denied or dismissed, no matter how much people try to say he only gives good speeches. He does, there is no denying that (refreshing after years of a president who cannot create a complete, coherent sentence). But Obama is something special and has more character and substance than he is given credit for.
If you think I am some wild-eyed, unthinking Democrat, you are wrong. I grew up discussing politics at the dinner table in a union household. I started campaigning for Democrats running for office when I was in high school in the 70's and have always loved and closely followed politics. My father, a Navy Chief Petty Officer during WWII, was the most liberal man I have ever known and taught me to defend my views with facts. He would have loved Obama.
I hope I listened to the next President of the United States on Saturday.

16. You sound like a bitter person who can't listen with an open mind. |
|
Let me be very clear. I was not an Obama supporter, nor was I a Clinton supporter. I was firmly and proudly a John Edwards supporter and would still be if he were in the race. A lot of what I heard from Obama reminded me of Edwards. But I liked listening to Obama and I agreed with what he said. I don't enjoy listening to Clinton anymore. She sound shrill and brittle to me.

18. I do like him. It's that simple. |

I have not been happy since John Edwards left the race and I am relieved to finally know where I want my vote to go. Until Saturday, I had still planned to write-in Edwards when this state finally has its primary in June.
For me, it was finally a great day to be a democrat in Montana.
By the way, Hillary did very well in Butte and was also well received.

I like Brian. He tends to govern through his inner circle, but I can't complain after having Judy Martz, who was "bone dumb." After 20 years of republican governors, it's a relief to have someone spend money on needed programs rather than just cut spending year after year. I doubt that either he or our senators will weigh in before the June primary. Of the three, I like Tester the most. He is good guy with good intincts. And we can't forget that he beat Burns.

After such a wonderful intro for Obama, you deserve to be named. . . .LOL. . . I know in small towns, everyone knows everyone else but we outsiders need introductions. . .
Mayor John Engin. . .thank you kindly!
Now Obama has both an "Engine" and a "Bus" (Steelers' Jerome Bettis) behind him. . .LOL

My brother shook Bill Clinton's hand the other day. Now if Obama or the Clintons could make it down to the Blackfeet Reservation or Cut Bank, I'd really be excited. :)

12. Adams Field House, Electric Obamafied! |
|
That place was full and full of excitement! Overheard long time Clinton supporters saying there is substance to this man and he just got my vote! The packed house and the 500 in the football stadium watching the live streaming was remarkable, on a chilly, blustery Montana day. Getting up at 4AM to get there and stand in line for blocks, was worth it! Obama even made an appearance at the football stadium to greet those 500 who could not get in! Class act.
