1. Hillary Rosen was the architect behind the RIAA's lawsuit jihad for downloading music
Suing 13 year old girls for downloading a Britney Spears song, etc.

I don't trust anything that woman says.

2. I'd need to see the actual quotes from the Obama campaign.
Rosen's opinion was that the statements said something about superdelegates not being real Dem voters. Without direct quotes (and context), I have no way to form an opinion.

Neither does, I think, any rational person.

3. Attempt to Force Clinton Out of Race Even More Disturbing
The first time in history, that is what this is. The first time that any candidate, much less party, tried to force another candidate out of a convention.

Obama's claim abojut staying in rings so false that it is hard to take. After making such a big deal of Hillary Clinton get out, with nary a word against this, suddenly Obama has the view that going on is fine.

This is reminiscent of the racist claims that were so heated and never denied by Obama, pushed on the Clintons by Chicago and Illinois people who have taken over CNN, especially Roland Martin.

8. Serious candidates usually drop out when its clear they aren't going to win.
Hillary has reduced herself to the level of Jerry Brown or Dennis Kucinich who stayed in until the convention long after it was clear they lost. At least in those cases Bill Clinton and Kerry were given the courtesy of being declared the presumptive nominee. And at least Brown and Kucinich stayed in to promote progressive issues rather than just to satisfy their overblown ambitions.

15. How is it disturbing?
Isn't that the point? The goal? To win enough support that the other person is forced to drop out?

Geez.

7. She can't win with earned delegates so she must be trying to steal it
or else she would drop out. There's only two things that can happen at this point: 1) she loses 2) she gets super delegates to rig the nomination against the will of the elected delegates. If she isn't trying to rig the nomination then why hasn't she dropped out?

10. She had links to the company trying to buy Diebold. And interetingly, in new Hampshire
she only won in counties counted by machine. Obama won where votes were hand counted. it is obvious the republicans are pushing for her. And they have been in charge of the election fraud in this country for many years.

18. OOPS. This is actually MSNBC, but it's still corporate CRAPOLA !
MANY Superdelegates are party insiders and establishment Dems who are already in the tank for one candidate or the other, so they are NOT all objective voices of the party. If the supers override
the pledged delegates you'll see a civil war in the party. That IS one thing they don't want.
This woman here is obviously pro Hillary.

19. This means nothing: Hillary Rosen = Hillary Clinton
I've seen her on three shows recently and this is REALLY becoming annoying.

Hillary Rosen has been a life-long FOB and Hillary supporter who has, for strategic reasons, declined to sign on to the HRC consultant's gravy train... for now.

Because she is not presently "under contract" to HRC, she can peddle her wares as a "democratic strategist" and gets a free pass on the talking head shows. She gets scheduled solo-- never part of a balanced panel-- and she's invariably identified as being independent.

In each instance she starts out making some innocent-sounding observations then, like clockwork, about 45 seconds in to the interview, she makes a hard right turn and starts sliming the Obama campaign.

Even though I admire both Hillarys, I find this facade-- and the media's blind acceptance of it-- quite silly.

25. RE: your quote
As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron." H.L. Menken

Isn't that what we have now in the White House...a Menken prediction come true?

Menken now there's a newspaper man Americans admired.

Edited on Sun Apr-06-08 08:34 AM by sellitman
Will you feel she deserves the nomination?

I can tell you honestly that if the tables were reversed I scream bloody murder about it happening.

If they overide the will of the people we will have another "Illegitimate President" in my eyes.

21. shows the desperation of the Hillary campaign
There's a lot of projection here--projecting the Obama supporters' views onto Obama. Obama hasn't said a word about the super-delegates overthrowing the will of the people. But certainly that is on the mind of every Obama supporter.

And, it wouldn't matter what Obama or the Obama camp said about super-delegates. If Obama is ahead in elected delegates and popular vote, and the nomination goes to Hillary, there will be Obama supporters who will stay home in November. I would say that this would happen even if Obama was on the ticket (which I doubt).

I think the super-delegates are intelligent enough to figure this out.

Again, this is desperation.

Oh, and I did like Gregory's take on it--that pro Clinton super-delegates are starting to doubt their choice.

27. Oh, yes..
There isn't a doubt in my mind that Obama and his campaign backed by Donna Brazile, Pelosi, Reid, Kennedy and Kerry will stop at nothing to ensure Obama is the nominee. If the election is ever stolen it will be by the cooperation of their hands.

She only gave Obama's campaign $500. That's a little fact that didn't come up in that "interview".

28. Is Hillary Rosen one of the Super Delegates?
if so everything the Obama camp says makes perfect sense.

supers have found the power of being in the spotlight and want more.

let's eliminate the super delegates and let the pledged delegates represent the voters.
