22. Doesn't matter, the info in the OP is a bald-faced LIE
The clip says the email was anonymous... doesn't seem to stop the OP from insinuating the Obama campaign itself wrote it.

2. Keep splitting hairs over issues that don't matter.
Meanwhile we get lied to about the economy, how well the Iraq occupation is going, the "word game" on torture and our involvement in it, the firing of judges for political reasons, etc, etc, from this bullshit administration....and YOU ARE WORRIED ABOUT some stretch of the truth from Obama or Clinton.

Oh please!! Get your head out of your ass. Be concerned for the lies that matter!!!!!!

8. Not a lie
The proper way to have framed this is:

"His ad is technically correct, but..."

Calling it a lie is a lie itself. Calling it misleading would be appropriate.

14. Weak Argument
I work for a major telecommunications company, and I contributed to the Obama campaign... Individuals are free to donate to whom every they desire.... With over 90 % of the over 1.3 million donors to the Obama campaign being small donors with an average of $94 dollars, its pretty clear that Obama's statement in question is not a lie or even a mis-statement... And using some un-known guys email about Barack and Hillary's comparative senate experience is a ridiculous attempt at amateur journalisum...

A little less Fox News, try reading a book...

20. so if i'm a nurse
and my girlfriend's uncle donates to a campaign does that mean the campaign is taking money from the healthcare lobby? everyone that has a fucking job (or is related to someone that has a job) would be disqualified from giving money.

also, all bills are not created equal. some are more important that others. is it fair to simply count the number of bills a candidate sponsored and count the number of bills passed? shouldn't we look at each individual bill and ask if they were substantive?

looks like "factcheck.org" is misleading people. how ironic.

21. Total Hit Piece
He doesn't take money from oil companies

Just because none of them can, doesn't negate the fact. He takes money from former lobbyists and not current ones? Again, he did not lie about it, just because he didn't mention it.
Was it sly? Yes. But to tout it as a lie is wrong.

And to quote a spam email most likely crafted by one of the two candidates who "love this country" in order to raise the kind of shit this site lives off of, has no credence whatsoever.

He takes in much less than the other two candidates from oil company employees, but that is not mentioned.

If you visit their site you find it is a disinformation site for the GOP. Notice every story is about Obama or Clinton. Nothing on McCain's more dangerous statements about Iran training al Qaeda, or all his other flip flops.

I randomly checked into the January archives on Factcheck.org from 2004 and guess what? Here's how they cover the two candidates:

"Bush A Military "Deserter?" Calm Down, Michael (Moore)"

and

"Kerry Exaggerates Role in Some Key Legislative Battles"

I'm glad you posted it though, so we are all aware of this piece of crap site from now on.

25. Here's a suggestion for the Hillary Lovers
Spend your time working for her campaign.

It's more fun working for a candidate than trying to dig up dirt on the opponent.

And far more productive.

On second thought, keep digging for dirt - it's really working out well for your candidate.

:sarcasm:

26. The Man Behind Factcheck.org
Truth Police: The Man Behind Factcheck.org
Words By Matt Schwartz
Posted February 27, 2008

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/good-magazine/truth-police-the-man-beh_b_88654.html

(snip)

Since 2003, Jackson, a veteran investigative journalist and self-described "consumer advocate" for the spiel-stunned voter, has logged the candidates' statements, weighed them against their sources--and their sources' sources--and posted the results at FactCheck.org. Funded by the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania, the site has no advertising and no backing from any political party. Brooks, 66, has been scrutinizing politicians since 1970, when he moved to Washington to cover the Nixon administration for the Associated Press. He says misleading political speech is as old as Athens. "My theory is that candidates running for office have been fudging facts to attract voters for the past 2,500 years. We're probably not going to change that behavior."

...............

To me this just proves this guy is just another blogger that wants to infuse he beliefs into the main stream market place. I think you have to take that into account and remember that everyone has a bias so matter if they say the don't!

27. Pshaw
This is just anti Obama spin. Working for an oil or gas company and donating to Obama is no where near equivalent to Obama selling favor to an executive or a lobbyist. And the amount mentioned was probably the total of all the small donors who somebody perused for oil and or gas company employees. This is pathetic grasping at straws. I don't tend to believe any politician who says they won't be bought, but this is bullshit.

29. Obama Lie Numero Uno--Iraq
http://cannonfire.blogspot.com/

This blog summarizes Obama's "opposition" to the Iraqi War, and concludes:

"Not once has Obama taken a risky, principled stand on Iraq. He has opposed the war only when protected by a political safety net. He portrays his record as consistent, despite his Mystique-like ability to shape-shift. And when Bill Clinton accurately denounced Obama's "opposition" to the war as a "fairy tale," Obama's big-media supporters pretended that Clinton's words were somehow racist.

Barack Obama is both an intellectual coward and a shameless revisionist of his own history. Like the banker who will lend you money only when you don't need it, he opposed Bush's war only when doing so carried no political cost."

Watch the video first.

31. factcheck.org is not reliable.
i first noticed this when they had some crap on obama distorting what mccain said about 100 years in iraq. it said he suggested mccain wanted 100 year war. thats not a fact you can check, suggesting something isnt the same thing as flat out saying something, declaring it as a matter of fact. they like to play things too broadly to be trusted. fact checking organizations need to stick with facts, opinion is irrelevant.

32. Look over the comments, and the YouTuber's page
This assclown is piling up phony hit jobs on Obama. If he's a Hillary supporter - and I doubt he's even a Democrat - he's using some sources with great GOP bona fides. I'm supposed to get all heated up about Obama because of what Glenn Beck says?

Fuck that and fuck you.
