True story: This morning, I was talking with one of my regular customers and the news came on in the background about how Penn was leaving the Hillary campaign. "About time," he said. "She should have already stepped down by now. I voted for her, but everyone can see now she doesn't stand a chance." I got excited (not everyday someone invites to talk politics with me!) and went into this tirade how I had just heard that Hillary supporters are more likely than Obama supporters to switch to McCain if she doesn't get the nomination. "Isn't that just insane?! I don't get it at all!" I said.

He looked at me blankly and then proceeded (completely serious) to explain to me how he's voting for McCain. My jaw like literally plummeted to the floor! I felt strangely embarrassed. Even more, however, I was really disappointed in this guy I considered to be pretty cool!!!

I recovered rather ungracefully, laughing awkwardly and making some comment about McCain scares the crap out've my husband (army reservist) and me... :scared:
